EMPLOYEES from Trowbridge based motor groups are gearing up for a cycle ride in aid of Dorothy House Hospice.

Islington Motor Group and its franchise Trowbridge Ford, of Trowbridge Motor Park, Canal Road, are fielding a team of 14 riders for the popular cycling sportive, Bike Bath, which takes place in and around the city on July 1.

Riders will have the choice of a 25, 50 or 80-mile challenge, which includes entrants enjoying some of the region’s finest food and drink at stations along the routes, as well as a celebratory pint of Bath Ale at the finish.

Paul Jones, managing director at Islington Motor Group, said "We’re delighted to be fundraising for this important local charity.

"We have several keen cyclists and general keep-fitters who love a challenge and having worked on a number of fund raising events with Dorothy House in the past, we felt it was a great opportunity to combine our interests."

The riders want to raise more than £500 for the hospice.
