A NEW calendar promises to take you back in time by featuring images of life in the 17th century taken at a village fete during the summer.
Steeple Ashton held a 17th century village fete over the course of a wet and windy weekend in July to raise vital funds for the parish church.
Villagers dressed up in period costume and 200 members of the battle re-enactment regiment of the Sealed Knot descended on the community to re-create a famous Civil War clash.
The church got its fallen spire back, this time created in laser lights, and there were lots of other activities including clog dancing and falconry to keep the crowds amused.
The calendar captures the events of that weekend and is being sold for £7.99 at the Steeple Ashton village shop.
Profits will be shared between the shop and the church preservation society.
