A health fair and workshop will be held in Bradford on Avon in March to provide healthcare information to the public and encourage people to take responsibility for their own well-being.
The event, starting at 10am in St Margaret’s Hall on March 6, will feature an array of stalls from the NHS, local sports providers and health charities.
At 12pm a public workshop will take place examining health statistics and what local people see as priorities in the area.
The workshop is intended to contribute to a needs assessment being carried out by Bradford Area Board to determine the health needs of the community.
There will be health experts and professionals present to give advice, dispel myths and provide general information on how to live a healthier lifestyle.
The fair will be funded by Wiltshire Council, through the Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership, and the NHS, who will also provide expert staff.
The Area Board is appealing for individuals and organisations interested in having a stall and taking part in the workshop to come forward.
