Inventive Year 11 students at Matravers School in Westbury made a few striking entrances to their end of year ball, held at Cumberwell Park Golf Club last Tuesday.
Few could hope to match 16-year-old Bradley Appleton, who dropped in by parachute, featured in last week’s Wiltshire Times.
Other students rolled up the long drive in limos, and one group of girls arrived under the home-made shell of a VW camper van.
Pastoral support manager for Year 11 Alison Gratton said: “They have been a very inventive year, we had some interesting entrances.
“They were very well behaved and the 30 or so staff there could relax and enjoy it with them.”
The students, some of whom had finished their exams only the day before, started the day at school with a cooked breakfast served by their teachers, shirt signing and a karaoke session. They also saw videos recorded from their first days at the school.
