Ghost stories from Corsham are being compiled as the town council prepares its tourism strategy for Visit England week.
The council wants people to tell spooky tales about the town, which can be turned into a walk during the week, which runs from March 10-18.
Community and information officer Nicola Chruszcz said: “We thought the idea of a ghost walk would be good fun and something a little different.
“At the moment we’ve had a couple of stories from the tourist information centre, but we’d really like to hear from the people of Corsham too.
“We’d really appreciate any help to make the walk a good one-off treat.”
The council is considering other events for the tourism week, but nothing has been confirmed.
If you have a Corsham ghost story, call the town council on 01249 702130 or visit the council website at www.corsham.gov.uk
