First Wiltshire crop circle of year arrives despite the weather at Stonehenge (From Wiltshire Times)

Crop circles are just rural graffitti. This hoax about aliens has been repeated a little too often now, a farmer's life is hard enough without crops being damaged every year.

It's probably Duke of Edinbrough award students, they are tramping down the wheat opposite Blackland leisure centre at the moment. No respect. They have been told to walk around the margins.

I think some of them are hoaxes but if you really study the science behind them it is nearly impossible to think they are not made by ETs. Do you really think it is that far fetched? And that we are the only intelligent life out there? Our history (religious included) is riddled with stories of "gods" coming from the sky in chariots... Just watched a fascinating documentary online about crop circles, aliens, the connect to the suppression of new energy technology...think about it, if ETs are here they must be using some kind of energy technology WAY beyond fossil fuels. I tried watching the documentary but it made the part of my brain responsible for logical thought feel suicidal, so I stopped watching.

If you really study the science behind them you will discover that they're created using 'string theory'. A short piece of string holds a 'stomping plank' under one person's foot, and the other end of a long piece of string is held by an accomplice to guide the first person in precise circular arcs. You can even use a bit of scientific deduction to tell that the 'stomper' flattened the crops in this particular circle in a clockwise direction, and another good indication of being man-made (but not a prerequisite) is that all the start and end points of their route were on the tractor tracks, or in places that had subsequently been 'stomped'. I don't deny that there just might be intellegence out there in space, but I dispair sometimes at the lack of intellegence down here on earth.

The science behind them? You mean lawnmowers?

Crop Circles generate over £8m in Wilsthire every year. It is no longer a few hippies in campervans but academics from across the globe staying in quality hotels, eating, drinking and spending ££££££'s. A great boost for tourism! Why dont the farmers (many offering accomodation) capitilise on this healthy 'much needed' industry? No brainer!

My guess is not many. This activity is criminal and I cannot understand why this "newspaper" celebrates such criminality.

Crop circles are made by human people who live on this planet. If Aliens had the know how and technology to come here i don't they would be interested in walking round fields with a lump of wood tied to a rope.
