The Village Pump Folk Festival returns this weekend offering everything you would expect from a festival of this quality at the White Horse Country Park in Westbury.
Two main stages and a club tent, plenty of parking and camping space, included in the ticket price, with space set aside for disabled access camping, an eclectic range of stalls and food outlets,
excellent transport links and above all the cream of folk and roots musicians as well as family entertainment to keep the children occupied.
Seth Lakeman and Karine Polwart are the headliners on Friday with Show Of Hands and Cara Dillon on Saturday and Oysterband, Ben Waters and 3 Daft Monkeys on Sunday.
Also on the bill are Michael Chapman, Reg Meuross Band, Jenna Witts and Spill the Whiskey on Friday, Keith Christmas, Johnny Coppin and Mike Silver, John Jones and the Reluctant Ramblers, Elbow Jane, Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin on Saturday and Fay Hield and the Hurricane Party, Allan Taylor, Peter Knight’s Gigspanner, O’Hooley and Tidow, Allan Yn Y Fan and My Darling Clementine on Sunday.
As well as top names there are up-and-coming young bands and musicians, exciting children’s entertainers, ceilidhs, sessions, morris dancers, workshops and The Merv Grist Players.
All music and dance events will be undercover in marquees or in the social club, which means even wet weather should not dampen the mood or spoil the enjoyment.
Weekend ticket price to include parking and camping is £110, day tickets £30 for Friday evening and £55 for Saturday or Sunday.
