Organisers of Southwick Show laid on a host of entertainment for Bank Holiday Monday afternoon.
Despite windy weather and the constant threat of rain, hundreds of people turned out for the annual event.
Southwick playing field was the base for activities and exhibitions, including ferret racing, a car boot sale, mini-quad biking, dance displays, face painting, live music, food and drink.
There were also pony rides, a flower show and exhibitions from the Warminster and District Radio Control Flying Club.
The show was opened by Trowbridge town crier Trevor Heeks at 1pm.
Donald Hughes, of South-wick said: “It’s always a good atmosphere and it’s good to see all the community get together.”
Margaret Jones, of West-bury, said: “It’s shame about the weather, but that’s just how this summer has been. We’re still going to enjoy an ice cream and have a look around.”
Chris Rawlings, chairman of Southwick Show, said: “It was an absolutely fantastic day, especially when you consider it was raining when we set it up.
“The crowds came and visitors came and it was great. We didn’t have as many as last year, but we filled the field and there was a lot of enjoyment.”
