Store staff prepare for charity sky-dive
7:00am Saturday 22nd September 2012 in Latest News
BRAVE volunteers from the Wilkinson stores in Chippenham, Devizes and Trowbridge will take part in a skydive on Sunday, to raise money for the Cots for Tots Appeal.
Seven staff will jump on behalf of the appeal, which raises funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol, before landing at Redlands Farm, Swindon.
Marissa Hawker, a customer service assistant at the Chippenham store, said: “We’re all incredibly nervous about the parachute jump, but we’re sure our adrenaline will kick in on the day.
“We’re looking forward to taking part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience, while raising much-needed funds for the Cots for Tots Appeal, a vital service in our local community.
Sarah Vipond, corporate partnerships manager for the appeal, said: “The team from the Wilkinson stores are a lot braver than most for taking part in the parachute jump. The skydive really demonstrates their commitment to the Cots for Tots Appeal. The whole team has put so much enthusiasm and dedication into raising money for the cause and we are extremely grateful for the continued support.”
