Holidays from hell inspire new book of tales

A BRADFORD on Avon woman has written her first book, recounting the holiday mishaps she and her husband have experienced during their years of travel.
Patricia Brown, 65, of Bath Road, was inspired to write her debut release, Holiday Accommodation Horrors, because of some of her hellish experiences.
All the anecdotes in the book have actually been experienced by the writer and her husband Peter.
Mrs Brown said: “I do think I’m fated for bad things to happen while I’m on holiday.
“We’ve just got back from a holiday where there was a beam in the middle of the bed between the pillows.
“If you got up in the middle of the night you’d bash your head. That place, in Sidmouth, has already given me enough material to start on a follow-up.”
Mrs Brown is now looking for a publisher for her second book, aimed at children, Lets Pretend with Molly and Her Friends, which was inspired by the pupils she reads to at Christ Church Primary School.
