Fun runners with a festive spirit are wanted to put one boot forward and take part in this year’s Santa Dash for Dorothy House Hospice Care.
The charity is appealing for people to take part in the Christmas- themed fun run which is being held at the Winsley-based hospice at 11am on December 2. Anyone can pull on a Santa suit and sprint, jog or walk along the 6km route.
Event organiser Phillippa Watson said: “Last year 100 jolly Santas raised more than £11,000 by running through Brokerswood Country Park. This year we decided to take the event to Winsley, where it will start and finish at the hospice, taking in the lovely Winsley views along the way. We’d love to see more Santas join us this year.”
Registration, which includes a Santa outfit to wear on the day, costs £15 with an early bird offer of £10 before November 9. For more information, visit www.dhsantadash.co.uk.
