Melksham shoppers’ generosity helps feed 4,000 people

Shoppers in Melksham donated enough food for 2,000 meals over a weekend, as part of the UK’s biggest ever single charity food drive.
Melksham Sainsbury’s took place in the second Million Meal Appeal, which saw customers across the country donating food items to FareShare, a charity dedicated to tackling food poverty. Customers’ generosity will be matched by the store, meaning more than 4,000 meals will go to day centres, homeless shelters and school breakfast clubs.
