CAR owners in Corsham were left with graffiti on their vehicles after an attack on Saturday night.

Vandals targeted around 15 cars in South Street and The Tynings with spray cans, daubing them in multicoloured paint.

Sergeant John Rogers of Corsham police said: "We are appealing for anyone that may have seen anything to come forward.

"If anyone has noticed any spray paint missing from their property or if anyone has sold anyone any blue, orange or red paint we would also like to hear from them.

"It may not seem important but it could be.

"From independent sources we have had a name put forward and we are actively seeking this individual in connection with these incidents."

Sergeant Rogers said the act of anti-social behaviour has not been a problem in the past.

He said: "Something has triggered an individual to do this for some reason and we are asking witnesses to contact PC Harris at Corsham police station about the matter."

PC Harris can be contacted on 0845 408 7000.
