Nicola inspired by brave sister

A WARMINSTER woman is on a fundraising mission to scale the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales.

Nicola Noble, the sister of brave cancer fundraiser Vanessa Kyte who died earlier this year, is part of a team taking on the Three Peaks Outdoor Pursuit event on Saturday June 22.

Nicola, Anne-Marie Harrison, Sarah Jeffries, Tracey Hurd, Rebecca Austin, Juile Hurd and Liz M'ceroy will be undertaking the immense challenge to raise funds for the cancer unit at Bath's Royal United Hospital, and The Firefighters' Charity Fund.

Raising funds to fight cancer is an important cause close to all their hearts and the girls are aiming to raise thousands of pounds.

If you would like to sponsor them call (01225) 825825.

The Three Peaks Mountain Challenge involves climbing Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon in just 24 hours.

Nicola said: "After my sister passed away from cancer last year I have felt spurred on to raise as much as possible for the causes that she supported through her illness.

"She raised over £100,000 for various charities during the eight years after she was diagnosed with breast cancer and she really showed me how we as individuals can all make a difference - and here I am making mine!

"My sister was the driving force behind my fundraising activities when she was alive, encouraging me to take part in the Bath Half and the London Marathon. She has now become my inspiration."

Half the funds raised by the girls will be going towards The Firefighters' Charity to help fire service personnel and their families.
