THE DUCHESS of Cornwall will have extra security at her home near Lacock after plans for a police control base were voted through last night.
North Wiltshire District Council voted to approve the plans for the facility for Raymill House, subject to conditions, one of which stipulates if the building is to be used for any other purpose the owner must reapply for planning permission.
The Home Office is paying for the improvements in line with its duties to protect members of the royal family. Lacock Parish Council and residents living near to Camilla's country home objected to the plans.
