A MAN injured in a car crash on Thursday is recovering in hospital from serious internal injuries.
Michael Fisher, from Melksham, was a passenger in a Vauxhall Astra, when it was involved in a collision with a Peugeot 205 on the A365 between Melksham and Redstocks at about 10.40pm on Thursday.
He was travelling with his daughter in law Emma Fisher, driver Lisa Sears and her husband John when the accident happened.

His son David Fisher said: "It took two hours for him to be cut out of the car and they had to get a drip into him or he would have died from his injuries."
Mr Fisher was taken to Royal United Hospital, Bath, where he underwent an operation.
His son said: "He's out of the woods now but has to rest for the next two months. He then has to go back in for another operation.
"After the accident my wife managed to get out of the car and phoned me. I was pretty shaken up."
The driver of the other car, 19-year-old Robin Gorham, is still in Great Western Hospital, in Swindon, after suffering serious injuries to his hip and legs. He underwent an operation on Friday.

On behalf of us four in the Astra on Thursday 31st May, our sincere gratitude goes to the Fire Brigade, Paramedics and those who stopped to help, words cannot express the wonderful job you did in what was a very traumatic experience. Our lives would not be the same without you.
