A PHOTOGRAPHER is offering ordinary women the chance to look extraordinary in a nude picture of themselves.

Andy York, who has a studio in the Littlebrook Centre, Melksham, got the idea to start offering naked photo shoots from watching the Channel 4 series How To Look Good Naked.

In the show presenter, Gok Wan, takes ladies with less-than-perfect figures and encourages them to celebrate their bodies and ultimately take part in a naked photo shoot.

Mr York said: "I have been doing a portraiture service for a while and part of that was naked photos for ladies.

"They always left here with a feeling of renewed confidence. Then the television programme came along and the ladies on it were repeating the same things the others had said. It's so people without perfect bodies or much self-confidence can have a boost. People end up thinking a lot better about themselves."

The journey to begins with a trip to the studio for a chat with Mr York about what kind of picture you would like.

The client can flick through images from other women's photo shoots and decide their pose.

During the shoot Mr York encourages people to take along a friend for support.

He begins with a few photographs with their clothes on so they relax and then they change into a dressing gown in a separate changing room.

Some women do not want to reveal everything so they can choose to have a tactfully placed scarf, fan or feather boa.

The shoot costs £45 and then the sitter can select which pictures they would like to buy from the ones taken.
