OLYMPICS-BOUND sprinter Danny Talbot has received another pre-Games boost after receiving a late invite to compete in the prestigious Aviva London Grand Prix this weekend.

The Trowbridge ace, 21, who was last week selected for the Great Britain 4x100m relay squad for London 2012 was told he had a place to run in a star-studded 200m - his specialist event - at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The race boasts a world-class line-up including top Frenchman Christophe Lemaitre, 22, who boasts a personal best of 19.80secs and 22-year-old Jamaican sprinter Nickel Ashmeade, who has clocked 19.94secs this summer.

Newly-crowned European champion Churandy Martina, of Holland, is also entered as are the current top British 200m sprinters Christian Malcolm and James Ellington, both of whom will be running the event in the Olympics.

Talbot, who won European bronze behind Martina two weeks ago, will also be on relay duty on Saturday as Britain field two teams as the selectors take a closer look at their options ahead of the Games next month.
