Black cab drivers will be trained to spot victims of domestic violence, under a new pilot scheme launched on Wednesday in London.
Barbara Roche, minister for social exclusion and equality, launched the year-long scheme to help reduce domestic violence and support potential victims.
Drivers will be advised on key signs to look for in women passengers and will be issued with helpline numbers for victims.
In total, 325 drivers will be trained and will carry the logo: domestic violence
together we can put an end to it, on tip-up seats.
