A Watford man is aiming to sue the area's NHS Trust for m ore than £50,000 claiming hospital staff failed to recognise he had fractured his wrist and foot.
In a writ issued at London's High Court Mr Ben Hawkins is suing Mount Vernon and Watford Hospital's NHS Trust for compensation after being treated at Watford General in August 1999.
Mr Hawkins, 40, of Rosecroft Drive, Watford, says staff failed to recognise he had suffered a fractured wrist and foot, and failed to treat him appropriately, causing him pain and loss.
No date has yet been fixed for hearing the case.
