THE Olympian League Premier Division turned up a few surprises on Sunday, April 20, with the two long-time challengers both losing.

Garston Gunners found themselves 2-0 down at Green Dragon before fighting back to 2-2, only to concede a third and decisive goal.

Ian Hamon scored twice for the Dragons, with Steve Horsfield also on target.

It was a similar story for Riverside, who went down 3-2 to Abbots Langley. Lee Smith notched a brace for Abbots, with Spencer Devroe adding a single to drown out strikes from Craig Osborne and Micky Rockett, who capped a fine performance late on with a consolation goal.

In Division One, North Bushey RBL started brightly against Bushey Rangers, even taking the lead through an Adam Parrot goal.

However, Rangers were suitably stung by going behind and hit back with a vengeance. Two goals before the interval gave them the lead, before four more in the second half settled the game. Eric Johnston claimed a brace, with James Bridges, Paul Gurney, Sam Harkness and own goal completing the rout.

Also picking up three points were PJJ Electrical, who scored three times in the second half to beat Brians Bungalows 3-1. Chris Hewitt and Stuart Gilby found the target for PJJ, while Martin Skinner struck back for Brians Bungalows.

Elsewhere, Cash Convertors recorded their tenth league draw of the season after holding Robin Electronics to a 2-2 score. Rob Dyer and Paul Collett netted for them, with Jeff Lawrence and Paul Riding the Electronics' scorers.

In Division Two, Railway Arms could be accused of show-boating as they cruised to a 5-0 victory over Round Bush at Garston Park.

Pete Smithson led the scoring with two goals, while Michael O'Connell and Chris O'Shea also contributed. An own goal completed the rout.

Nascotwood Rangers also picked up maximum points following a 3-1 triumph over Europcar. Pat Francis, Adam Gore and M Carroll all netted for Rangers before Europcar replied with a late Stuart Green penalty.

Meanwhile, Railway Club's Ian Herring and Brian Rees scored in a 2-0 win over Woodside, while Inter Championship Manager (Radwan Ermes) and AFC Rookery (Richard Wenham) shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw.
