YOUTHS beat up a man after he refused to give them a bite of his kebab.

The man in his mid-20s was eating the kebab when he got off the 208 bus outside Costcutters store in Crofton Lane, Orpington, at 11pm on January 22.

He was just metres from home in Place Farm Avenue when he was attacked after turning down a plea to share his take-away by a group of teenagers on the bus.

The lads followed him down from the top of the bus, beat him round the head and left him unconscious.

He was taken to Bromley Hospital but released with superficial injuries the next day.

Owner of Costcutters Ashwin Shah said: "The man told me they just beat him up over a kebab.

"He had got off the bus and they kicked him. He fell and hit his head against the kerb. He then got up and walked on and fell outside the front of the store."

If anyone has more information about the attack, call DC Robertson at Orpington CID on 0181 284 8044.
