I would like, through your newspaper to thank a very kind and brave fireman who saved my grandson from serious injury on Saturday, March 6 at about 1.30pm.
My grandson and his three friends had gone to Bromley for a couple of hours and were suddenly surrounded by six black youths, all about 16 years old.
When the four young lads refused to hand over their money, they were attacked. Most people walked past on the other side, but the fireman intervened and the six black youths fled.
I shall never be able to thank the fireman enough.
Our grandson received head, face and jaw injuries and is still finding it difficult to eat. He needed hospital treatment and is now receiving counselling.
