FIVE children were treated for shock after their minibus collided head-on with a car in Bromley.
The Renault Traffic minibus, which was taking the five children to a special needs school, was being driven along Cameron Road at about 8.40am on April 17.
After taking a right turn into Letchworth Drive, the minibus collided with a Toyota Avensis coming from the opposite direction.
London Ambulance Service acting duty officer Maria Conyers said: "The children were crying inconsolably and our staff did a wonderful job calming them down.
"The ambulance crews removed their fluorescent jackets which were frightening the children and reassured them before taking them to Bromley Hospital."
None of the five children were injured, although they were treated at the hospital for shock.
However, the minibus driver had hit the windscreen and injured his shoulder and a 54-year-old woman carer, who had to be cut free from the minibus, suffered a fractured skull.
Both were taken to Bromley Hospital.
The car driver, a man, was not hurt.
Traffic police are investigating the accident.
