June 19, 2001 9:56: Bright spark Jessica Lightfoot has won a hotly-contested award to find Bromley's best new business prospect. Jessica, 17, of Newstead Wood School, Avebury Road, won the title of Young Achiever of the Year at a special awards ceremony. While serving as presenter at the ceremony, Jessica learnt she was a winner when she was given the award at the HSBC Sports Club, in Beckenham. The sixth former won the award for her successful enterprise project, making gift boxes and original mousemats. Jessica is currently sitting five AS-levels in French, English, German, Maths and an IT GNVQ. She is hoping to go to university when she finishes school. She said: "I was surprised and delighted to receive the award." Jessica is already a high-flyer having sat as a student representative on the Bromley Area Young Enterprise Board this year
