ROTARY CLUB OF CRAYFORD
April 5, Stroke Awareness Day saw volunteer Doctors and nurses in Bexley Borough take the blood pressure of 801 people in shopping centres between 10am and 4pm., well exceeding the local Rotary Clubs' target by 301 people. Support for the event came from the Mayor (The Stroke Association is her charity this year) and Nigel Beard MP both of whom visited the Rotary run test stations in the borough.
The actual number of blood pressure test stations in Kent was over fifty and the number of people tested nation wide is being submitted to the Guinness Book of Records. The only problem for Bexley, Crayford, Erith and Sidcup Rotary Clubs is to decide if they should try to beat their own record next year.
