COMMUNITY groups in Dartford and Swanley were given £1,250 by Co-op members.
Caring for Carers, a Dartford-based group providing relaxation for carers throughout west Kent, was given a £1,000 grant.
Swanley District Volunteer Bureau was awarded £250 to help promote its community transport scheme, which enables local residents to attend appointments at local surgeries, clinics and support groups.
The money came from the Co-op's loyalty card scheme which allows shoppers to donate the extra pence in their twice-yearly payout to worthy causes.
