FEMINIST Germaine Greer and actor Saeed Jaffrey are among celebrities lined up for Get It In Writing 2003.
The programme of summer events and workshops on the theme of "identity" is organised by Harrow Council's arts and leisure and library services, with Arts Culture Harrow.
An Evening With Germaine Greer at Harrow Arts Centre in Uxbridge Road, Hatch End at 8pm on July 12 will offer a chance to ask the academic, author and broadcaster questions. Tickets are £12.50 (£10 concessions).
Film and TV star Saeed Jaffrey will join other speakers and performers to celebrate Harrow Refugee Day at Westminster University's Harrow campus in Watford Road at 1pm on June 21. He will talk about his experiences when he first arrived in England, and readi from his book, An Actor's Life. For more information, call Harrow Refugee Forum on 020 8423 3592.
Other events include a workshop on Tamil culture and history; Xpress Yourself, a workshop for young people which will explore how to use literature for fun through rap, comics, songwriting, poetry and texting, and a workshop for aspiring writers run by a literary agent .
