More than 250 competitors took to the streets of Potters Bar for the Furzefield Centre's seventh annual triathlon on May 25.
Among the winners was Stuart McGowan, 54, who won the men's over-50s category, in a time of one hour 16 minutes.
Mr McGowan, of Palmers Green, works for Barnet Music Service as a guitar and piano teacher, and teaches in many of the borough's schools, including St Mary's in Hendon and All Saints in Cricklewood.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Hertsmere, Eddie and Pamela Roach, presented trophies to the winners in a number of categories.
The men's overall winner was James Amy, with Alistair Brown and Kevin Partridge filling second and third places.
Colette O'Neil took the women's equivalent.

Women's over-20s: Katie Jackson. Over-30s: Colette O'Neil. Over-40s: Vicky McCarthy. Over-50s: Sue McCrowan.
