BROMLEY youngsters have proved their sporting prowess with a series of outstanding performances at the London Heathrow Youth Games.
The games, held at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre between July 5 and 8, attracted 20,000 participants even more than the Olympics from schools across the capital.
In the mini games event, a mixed team from Bromley High and Eltham College won the hockey and players from Park Langley Club, in Beckenham, served up tennis gold.
On finals day, the boys' athletics squad ran out winners.
Overall, Bromley came sixth out of 33 boroughs.
Bromley sports development officer Tina Slater said: “The overall effort of the Bromley team was marvellous.
“Our thanks go to all of those team managers who have worked so hard to train all of the squads.”
