Bromley residents took a step back in time at the the Penge Day Care Centre recently when Bromley library and the Learning and Skills Council joined forces to launch some bite-size courses. As part of the programme, a series of oral history courses were developed and taken into local day centres for local residents to enjoy. Bromley library course coordinator Christine Upton said: “This has been such a wonderful initiative to be involved in. The residents were able to add their own personal accounts of local history making it a learning experience for us all.”
