WEST Wiltshire District Council has released the new 2008/9 Arts Directory, listing information on hundreds of artists and arts organisations based or working in the area.
The directory has been distributed to West Wiltshire libraries, town councils, information centres, sports centres and West Wiltshire District Council reception, and also been made available on the West Wiltshire District Council website.
Community development officer Meril Morgan said: "We are very pleased to have such a good response from people wishing to be listed, particularly arts practitioners and organisations such as choral and music societies.

"Although not exhaustive, there are more than enough organisations and individual artists listed to ensure that the directory is of use to the whole community, whether someone is looking to commission a piece of art or take up an arts-based hobby."
Cllr Chris March, council portfolio holder for community, added: "This directory is an invaluable source of information for anyone interested in any aspect of the arts within West Wiltshire.
"I would urge individuals and groups that have yet to get their details into the directory to ensure that they register for the next edition."
For more information on the directory please contact Sue Jeffreys on 01225 776655 ext 534.
