OUR family would like to thank the kind young couple who stopped their car on Cock Hill in Trowbridge late on the evening of April 30 to attend to our ginger cat, who had just been knocked down and sadly killed.
He was tenderly wrapped in their own clothing and they contacted us so we could take him home.
We also want to thank others in our community who have cared for our cat. Alfie was born under our kitchen table over a year ago. He failed to thrive in his early days but made up for it with a huge personality that he liked to share. He would often stride into the homes of neighbours in the Broadmead area and settle down for a cuddle, play and a nap.
At 3pm he would often wander to Walwayne Court School to play and entertain the children there. He will be much missed by our family but we take comfort in the acts of kindness shown towards our mischievous pet.
