For a start, its name is a nonsense. It then goes on to advise readers wanting a copy of a new visitor guide to west Wiltshire to phone (01225) 865797. This turns out to be the excellent TIC in Bradford on Avon. The staff there have never seen the guide. They have not even heard of it. It seems not to exist.
The local economy needs more visitors. Efforts to promote tourism deserve applause, not ridicule. So it is nonsense to see taxpayer's money being wasted on what Mr Rogers rightly calls a feeble booklet'.
