IT'S hard to believe that a person could write in all seriousness that John of Gaunt School had "no choice" but to suspend a boy because of his haircut.
Those making this decision did have the choice of behaving like adults and ignoring this harmless gesture, which of itself can have no bearing on the child's behaviour, his willingness to learn or anything else that can possibly be of importance in a school.

IT is with much disgust that I read of the reply and attitude of the mother whose son was sent home from John of Gaunt School because of his tramline haircut.
To make such a silly and arrogant remark that it was against his "human rights" goes beyond comprehension.
This lady would be more acceptable to the community if she supported the school rules and sent her son back to receive the excellent education the school supplies. I am afraid she is in danger of fostering a yob' of the future.
