Bouncing with success
TRAMPOLINING: EVOLUTION Trampoline Club entered an enormous 50-man squad at
the South West Championships in Taunton.
For many members of the Wiltshire and Somerset-based club this was their
first taste of competition.
Oscar Percival bounced with great skill and control to finish second in the
under nines boys' category.
Alex Brown scooped silver in the under 11s boys and Alex Bedford took home a
bronze in the elite men's section.
Beckie Kingsnorth was the only female club member to win an individual medal
after finishing third in the over-18s girls' event.
The club also won team medals in the elite ladies (silver), elite men
(silver), over-18s girls (gold and silver) and over-18s boys (gold).
The club's under 11 girls took home a bronze, as did the under 15 girls. The
under 15 boys won silver.
Evolution head coach Sarah Hunt said: "We are really pleased with the
results. We had some new competitors and some new routines from some of the
competitors, there were a couple of mistakes but on the whole it was a great
day and we look forward to building on the success for next year".
