CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION PREVIEW: Melksham seek return to winning ways
12:30pm Friday 26th October 2012 in Sport
AFTER back-to-back defeats at the hands of two-time S.K. Fruits Limited Chippenham Sunday League Premier Division defending champions Biddestone Social, Mike Rogers will be thankful that his AFC Melksham side welcome bottom of the table FC Brunel to Christie Miller.
Brunel will give it their best shot at picking up their first points of the season but the likelihood of that happening is very slim as the hosts should claim their first win in four outings.
With Bug & Spider looking to have come into some good form they will need to be at their very best for the visit of leaders Biddestone Social who, at the moment, are looking invincible as they chase down a hat-trick of top flight wins.
When the teams met on the final day of last season, Social lost a goal-9-6 but things will be a lot different at Beversbrook this Sunday as the champions will be focused on picking up another two points to move further clear of the chasing pack.
The result is likely to be close and it is Biddestone who are tipped to take the spoils.
Westbury Rangers will be bidding to beat old adversaries Semington Rovers for a ninth time in 13 matches when the teams lock horns at Littlemarsh.
With Semington struggling this season Shaun Gardiner’s Westbury side should collect another two points against Allan Clarke’s hosts.
MATCH OFF: FC Jager v FC Colerne
