BATH coach Toby Booth believes his side’s resilience stands their Aviva Premiership play-off chances in good stead.

Booth’s men head to Wasps on Sunday (3pm) off the back of a battling 12-12 draw at west country rivals Exeter Chiefs last weekend.

A last-gasp penalty try and Tom Heathcote’s conversion, added to Michael Claassens’ earlier score, secured a share of the spoils at Sandy Park. Booth was delighted with the response after the previous 22-0 home drubbing by Saracens before Christmas.

“The points are obviously important but the big picture is the resilience. The bounce back from last week is really important because that's a test of character and it's that test of character that gets you through the dark months and dark spaces to get on the other side.

“Everyone knows the team that gets momentum in January, February, March is the one that ends up there.

“We spoke about a test of character about most things, not about rugby this week. It was going to be a massive test of character and I think we’ve come through that test. That’s the pleasing thing.’’
