DEPLETED Warminster pulled off a shock result to overturn their third-placed hosts in Dorset & Wilts One South.

Travelling with just 16 players available and despite a number being out of position, Warminster put their opponents under pressure with usual centre Rob Bell, playing at number eight, carrying well.

Bell opened the scoring after a solid scrum shove from the pack gave him the room to bundle over.

The visitors continued to control play, second rows Dean Priestman and Kris Purser and prop Simon Hall making inroads.

Sherborne infringed and Jason Sprangle stepped up to boot his side further ahead from the penalty.

The freezing conditions continued after half time, but against Warminster adapted better, centre Kris Clayton making a number of breaks.

A deserved second try arrived when a quick tap saw the ball passed to Priestman and he showed strength to drag defenders over the line with him.
