CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION ONE PREVIEW: Boroughs out to halt Renegades juggernaut

DIVISION One polesitters Bradford Renegades will put their 100 per cent record on the line when they visit an in-form FC Boroughs side who, after five straight wins, have a realistic chance of inflicting a first defeat of the season on Lance Davis' side.

Renegades, who are in the semi-finals of both the Parr Trophy and Knockout Cup, have won all nine league games to date and have looked impressive in the charge to the top of the table.

But they will be given a real test of their character and if they are not at full strength their could see their excellent run to an end.

Bromham (Sunday) were beaten 6-2 by Prestige Bodyworks when the sides last met and although very inconsistent and unpredictable this term, Prestige will be favourites to complete a double over the villagers when they lock horns at Bromham’s New Road ground.

Bromham themselves have had some strange results this term could actually get something if only a point from a game they are tipped to lose.

Second-placed Corsham United face a potential banana skin in their quest for a top two finish with a visit from Castle FC, who have lost just once in five.

Having lost by the odd goal in a nine-goal thriller when the sides last met they will be desperate to avenge that defeat but Corsham should have it in them to take the points as they know that with Boroughs breathing down their necks they can’t afford any more slip-ups
