CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION THREE PREVIEW: Galaxy out to derail rivals FC Buscots

THE  top game of the day in Division Three and one of the most eye-catching of the weekend has to be the match scheduled for Nurstead Road between local rivals FC Buscots and PSC Galaxy.

Buscots, who are currently joint top, have won all 12 games to date but will be hoping that it won’t be an unlucky 13th as Galaxy, who they beat 5-2 in December, look to avenge what has been their only loss in 31 games.

For Galaxy, it’s a must win game as they look to keep their dreams of back-to-back title alive, the result will be close and may just end with the points shared.

The next two weeks for Gary Marshall’s Bremhill View Boys will be massive as they battle to stay in the division.

The Calne-based side have back-to-back fixtures with Christian Malford and a quick glance at the standings sees Malford will be favourites to win both games.

But Bremhill desperate for points in a bid to climb out of the drop zone will see them as winnable and may just get a draw from the first meeting.

Cavalier, who find themselves bottom of the table and having played just eight games, have to play catch up.

Weather permitting, Andy Holman’s side will get another game out of the way this weekend with what should be a home contest against fellow strugglers Pig & Whistle United A.

Cavalier have lost all eight games to date while United have not won in eight so things look to be equal and a draw is on the cards.

Fortune Inn have not being having much luck when it comes to fitting in home matches this term.

Budge Hylands' side have not played at their Stanley Park base since the opening day of the season and unless the weather improves before the weekend, when they are due to host North Star B who they beat 10-1 in their earlier meeting, they may have to sit out another Sunday.

Fortune should win if the game gets the green light.
