TROWBRIDGE pilots John Jackson and Paula Walker had their first taste of competitive action on the 2014 Winter Olympic track in Sochi, Russia, this weekend.
The duo, who live in Paxcroft Mead, were competing in the final round of their respective two-man events in the World Cup series.
Walker and brakewoman Gillian Cooke finished 16th in the women's two-man event, Jackson and brakeman Bruce Tasker doing likewise in the men's event.
It left Walker ninth overall in the final women's standings, with Jackson finishing 14th in the men's event.
Jackson helps to bring down the curtain on this season in the four-man event tomorrow.
