CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION ONE PREVIEW: Prestige bid for Renegades upset
2:00pm Friday 22nd March 2013 in Sport
AFTER clinching the Division One title last weekend, Bradford Renegades will no doubt want to complete the perfect league campaign and hope that their remaining four matches will yield eight more points.
Prestige Bodyworks will be looking to spoil the party but, having already suffered an 8-1 loss when the teams last met, the visitors to Poulton are unlikely to get anything from the game.
Three defeats from their last four games has put paid to FC Boroughs' hopes of finishing in the top two.
The Malmesbury-based side visit Knockout Cup semi-finalists Biddestone White Horse, who will still be buzzing after last week's win over Corsham United.
This will be the first meeting of the sides and with both having an indifferent spell of late it’s a hard one to call, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if the game saw the points shared.
North Star A will have done the maths ahead of their meeting with Steeple Ashton Rangers and will have worked out that if they lose out to their guests at Beversbrook then they will be relegated to Division Two.
Things don’t look good for Liam Westland’s side who have won just one of their 12 games to date and have already suffered a 6-0 loss away from home. Rangers should win and in doing so send the Star down.
