An herculean effort sees Chippenham Town take all three points at Stourbridge.
The Bluebirds were missing bodies and fielded a striker in the heart of defence but put everything into seeing off the threat of the Glassboys before a cracker from Harley Purnell made the breakthrough with eight minutes to go
STOURBRIDGE 0 CHIPPENHAM TOWN 1
A late chance for Stourbridge! Drake's lofted ball over the top is helped on by Will Richards but John holds on to the ball
It's squeaky bum time!
We're in to the 90th minute and Chippenham still lead 1-0
Jordan Tillson is booked but that may have been a case of mistaken identity! It looked as though Tindle committed a foul on the edge of the box
The Bluebirds almost net a second! From a McClennan corner, Shane Blackmore gets up for a free header at the near post but his flick arrows across the face of goal
That was a superb hit by Purnell, with pure power giving Chippenham the lead.
Can the Bluebirds hold on for a fine three points?
Chippenham take the lead! McClennan lays the ball off for Harley Purnell to have a strike and have a strike the Bluebirds midfielder does.
Purnell's sweetly-struck effort is just too powerful for Stourbridge keeper Dean Coleman and he can only divert the effort into the top right-hand corner.
STOURBRIDGE 0 CHIPPENHAM TOWN 1
Around ine minutes plus stoppage time remaning in the West Midlands
McClennan almost puts the Bluebirds ahead. The winger looks set to pump a free-kick into the box but instead goes for an early effort on goal from the set-piece, with his strike shaving the outside of the post. So close!
Phillips is booked for dissent as he complains about a foul given against him
SUBSTUTIONS: James Guthrie comes off to be replaced by Shane Blackmore whilst Luke Benbow is substituted for Dean Bennett
McClennan's corner is flicked goalwards at the near post by Tindle but a Stourbridge defender blocks on the line before Guthrie blazes the rebound over the bar.
At the other end, Geddes fires wide
McClennan fires a free-kick into a dangerous area but that's well cleared by the Glassboys defence
It's still finely poised here at Stourbridge. The hosts have shown their quality on the ball on a number of occasions but Chippenham are keeping them at bay so far
SUBSTITUTION: Chippenham make their first change of the night, with Isaac Reid coming on to replace Tom Knighton up front
Stourbridge midfielder Geddes, who has been impressive all night, whips a devilish cross through the proverbial 'corridor of uncertainty' but the ball doesn't take a nick off a red and white shirt, or a lime green Chippenham one.
SUBSTITUTION: Stourbridge's George Washbourne comes on for Ben Billingham
So close for Chippenham! Tumelty's ball is left by Phillips, allowing McClennan time to set himself and fire a curling strike towards the far post.
But the effort is tipped around the post by the outstretched palms of keeper Dean Coleman
Stourbridge's Agbor has a shooting chance but he's denied by a great challenge from Griffin
Stourbridge striker Benbow has moved out to the right wing since half-time and the hosts have been looking to set him free on every opportunity
The hosts have carved out a few early chances but the Bluebirds defence is holding firm thus far
A great header from Leon Broadhurst sets up Geddes, who powers an effort at goal but John saves well.
Stourbridge's Nathan Bennett hits another powerful strike on the rebound, but Griffin clears acrobatically
Tindle is booked for leading with his arm as he challenged Benbow in the air. However, the Stourbridge striker came in from the side and that's a harsh-looking booking
Another great save from John keeps the Bluebirds from going behind. Full-back Jamie Oliver rises highest to head goalwards from a corner but keeprer John produces another fantastic reaction save to palm away the danger
Stourbridge striker Rowe is wearing his third different pair of boots this evening
And the second period is underway
SUBSTITUTION: Roly Agbor replaces Jordan Fitzpatrick for Stourbridge
Actually, scratch that. The hosts' Roly Agbor is stripped and ready to come on.
And out come Stourbridge. No changes at half-time for either side
Chpippenham emerge first for the second period
It's been an entertaining clash in the West Midlands so far this evening, played at a great tempo and with both sides moving the ball around nicely.
Joe McClennan and full debuatant Joe Tumelty have impressed for Chippenham but just how is it goalless at half-time?
The Bluebirds will be kicking themselves that they're not ahead and hopefully those missed chances won't come back to haunt them.
STOURBRIDGE 0 CHIPPENHAM TOWN 0
McClennan sends Guthrie racing down the left side of the box but the winger skews his cross high and wide, rather than drilling the ball across goal
Stourbridge almost open Chippenham up with a slick passing move but Tumelty makes a smart sliding challenge to win the ball back for the Bluebirds
Stourbridge's Luke Benbow angrily confronts the linesman after he's flagged for hacking away at Greg Tindle and is booked for his troubles
Around four minutes remaining of this first half
But that's fired into the wall by Knighton
Chippenham win a free-kick on the edge of the area after McClennan is felled by Geddes
Stourbridge's Geddes works some space in midfield and has a shot from range but that's well-held by John
That was another stunning save from John, who has prevented three or four certain goals so far already this season
Ben John keeps the Bluebirds level. A Stourbridge corner comes in and a crowd of red and white shirts attack the ball, with Geddes' header arrowing towards goal, only for John to produce a superb reaction save.
The danger is cleared behind and from the second corner-kick, the hosts' Richards gets a head on the ball at the near post but can't direct his effort on target
Something you don't see too often when Chippenham play - an Iain Harvey piledriver. The Bluebirds midfielder stings the palms of Coleman with a powerfully-struck effort from range
A short break whilst Drake recieves attention, allows Storubridge striker Ryan Rowe to change his boots
Stourbridge's Aaron Drake goes down off the ball. Looks like he clashed heads with Phillips
The Bluebirds let two more chances go begging! First, Phillips is sent racing clear by a great ball by McClennan and goes to round keeper Coleman but in the end, the angle is too wide for the striker to get his shot away.
Moments later, McClennan again turns provider, allowing Tumelty to break into the area but the youngster skews his finish well wide of the target.
Chippenham should be ahead.
The Bluebirds' Phillips almost capitalised on a kamikaze piece of defending from the hosts but Oliver will be indebted to goalie COleman for getting him out of trouble
A glorious chance to take the lead presents itself for Chippenham. Stourbridge's Will Richards knocks the ball into the air and Jamie Oliver attempts to head back to his own goalkeeper but only succeeds in sett up Phillips, whose strike is blocked by onrushing keeper Dean Coleman
Makeshift defender Griffin is showing his aerial prowess in an unfamiliar position already, beating the Stourbridge strikers to the ball on a number of occasions
Stourbridge break forward with intent and Sean Geddes has a chance to take a long-range pot shot but his effort is high and wide
A quiet start to today's game. Guthrie got into a good position early on but got his cross all wrong
It looks as though Tumelty is playing as a right wing-back, with Guthrie on the other flank. McClennan has started the game centrally, in the hole behind Knighton and Phillips
Chippenham to kick off, going from left to right. Griffin has taken his placed at the heart of defence
The two teams are out at Stourbridge
Tumelty is versatile though, and perhaps he's comfortable at full-back?
Full-back Jack Allward is warming up wearing goalkeeper gloves but I'm not too sure if we'll see a new role for the Chippenham defender this evening.
It's an experimental-looking line-up for the Bluebirds tonight, which is mostly down to cirumstance, and it looks as though it may be 3-5-2 for the visitors, with Alan Griffin operating as a makeshift centre-back and Iain Harvey, Joe Tumelty and Harley Purnell forming a central three in midfield.
Of course, that could be totally wrong! We'll see in under ten minutes
Hosts Stourbridge made the play-offs last season and they'll be tipped to be in the promotion mix-up once again.
And the Glassboys could have revenge on their mind tonight after they suffered a 4-0 pasting at Hardenhuish Park in the final league game of last season
Winter played as a midfielder for Torquay United in his playing days but you'd assume that the Bluebirds caretaker chief is only on the bench as a precaution.
The big team news for Chippenham is that caretaker boss Steve Winter has named himself on the bench for today's game.
Jack Allward and Shane Blackmore are on the bench whilst Joe Tumelty makes his first start of the season.

Meanwhile, Chippenham are looking to add to their squad and have made a seven-day approach for Clevedon Town defender Sam Teale.
We're still awaiting tonight's team sheet and will bring you tonight's line-ups as soon as possible
We're still awaiting tonight's team sheet but in case you missed it on gazetteandherald.co.uk/sport earlier, Toby Osman isn't involved with the Bluebirds tonight as he looks set for an imminent move to Bridgwater Town.
Adie Harris has also played his last game in a Chippenham shirt after being forced to call time on his spell at Hardenhuish Park for personal reasons last weekend.
But Shane Blackmore returns from injury to bolster a sparse-looking Bluebirds defence.
