WITH Miller Sports A missing out on a fixture this weekend, Matt Rusling’s Southwick Wanderers side could find themselves on top of the Division Two come Sunday afternoon.

Standing in Southwick’s way are a GRFC side who have been on something of a rollercoaster ride over the last month, winning three and losing two, scoring 20 but conceding 26 in the process.

Southwick won the earlier meeting 5-3 and will be favourites to complete a double over their hosts.

FC Buscots will be waiting for Southwick to slip up and if, as expected, they beat Sutton Benger then the Devizes-based side will, at worst, finish the day in second place in the standings.

Buscots, who exited the Wilts Sunday Cup last weekend, have already beaten Benger 7-3 this term and it would be a massive shock if they didn’t wrap up a double over their guests to extend their unbeaten league run to eight matches.

Fortune Inn may have suffered a surprise loss at home to the Talbot last weekend but Budge Hylands side should see an immediate return to winning ways this Sunday as next up are local rivals AFC Avellinos, who are currently bottom of the table with just one win from their eight games to date.

Fortune should win, however with local pride and bragging rights at stake the result may not go to plan and Avellinos may get a point.

Pete Huntley’s Potterne CFC find themselves in the bottom two and the villagers won't be looking forward for the visit of Talbot FC to their Northbrook base as Jim Bettles side have already beaten them 3-2 and arrive in Market Lavington on the back of an excellent win over Fortune Inn.
