ADRIAN Foster says he can’t afford to waste any time as he looks to add some fresh blood to his Frome Town squad.

The Badgers Hill boss has already snapped up Jon Vance and Jack Vallis from his former club Gillingham Town since taking over 18 days ago and revealed that he has already identified the areas he plans to strengthen.

“I think that there are a few areas that we don’t quite look up to it,” said Foster.

“I’ve already addressed it and decided who I’d like to bring in, so it’s just about getting those people in now.

“Grovesey (Ian Groves) and Ben Wood work their socks off up front, but maybe we need to add another body up there.

“I also think that we might need to strengthen in the middle of the park too.

“I think that we’re only two or three players short of being a really good side, but I’ve got to go out and get it done straight away, rather than waiting.”

Frome manager Foster reckons that tomorrow’s clash with bottom-of-the-table Bashley presents the perfect opportunity for his side to end their 11-match winless run.

He added: “We need a win – period.

“They’re a side that are struggling and we have to try and get three points if the game is on.”

Last weekend, Frome were well-beaten at play-off chasing St Albans City in one of the few clashes to survive the wet weather in the Calor League Premier Division.

Jamal Lowe put the hosts ahead in the first half before David Keenley-side, James Comley and John Frendo all found the net after the break.

Foster, whose side have yet to win a home match this season, added: “I could see it in the lads’ eyes that they knew they had conceded any good goals. We created some chances ourselves but the difference was that theirs went in.

“The lads are beginning to play the way I want them to and if we keep working hard in training, I’m confident things will improve.”

Winger Will Agbo has left to join Foster’s former club Gillingham Town, with defender Johnny Lynn also joining the Toolstation League outfit on loan.
