THE only match in Division Three that survived the rain was the one at Beversbrook where an in-form North Star B were expected to beat a struggling FC North Wiltshire, who went into the game on the back of a 10-0 loss.

The hosts were to pay the price for only having 10 players available as North Wilts helped their relegation cause by stealing maximum points after coming from 3-1 down to run out 5-3 winners.

Mickey Taraskevics and Karl Sharratt scoring in a first half for the Star that saw Jason Brooks-Stevens grab his first of the season for North Wilts.

When Clive McDaid extended the Star’s advantage to two goals, North Wilts looked on course for yet another defeat but as their hosts started to tire they came to life and with gaps appearing their seized their chance and reduced the arrears thanks to a second from Brooks-Stevens and squared things up through Dan Deacon.

A second from Deacon put North Wilts ahead and their sealed their win thanks to a first of the season from Luke Denham who was making his season’s debut.
