CORSHAM Town pulled off a landmark victory last weekend as they shattered Bradford Town’s unbeaten record in the Toolstation League First Division.

Trevor Rawlings’ Corsham pulled off a fine 5-3 victory at Trowbridge Road, inflicting a first league defeat of the season on Paul Shanley’s league leaders and becoming the first side to score more than three times against Bradford this campaign.

Dan King, Jake Hiscocks and Sam Jordan were on target for the hosts but visitors Corsham took the derby spoils thanks to a brace from Booker Woodford and goals from Nick Holton, Jason Henley and Ryan Tyrell.

Elsewhere, Westbury United recorded a second straight victory as they claimed a fine 3-2 victory over promotion-chasing Welton Rovers.

Nathan Hallett, Nathan Hallett-Young and Wayne Wheeler were all on target as Matt Bown’s side took all three points at Meadow Lane.

But there was disappointment for Warminster Town, who were beaten 5-2 at Wincanton Town.

In the Premier Division, there was late heartbreak for Melksham Town as a last-gasp goal condemned them to a 3-2 defeat at Bitton.

Ian Jeffery and Dan Kovacs were on target for Darren Perrin’s side but the home side’s Aysa Corrick popped up with a dramatic late winner.
