AFTER starting the Division Three campaign with a 7-2 victory over Pig & Whistle United, Andy Rose was hoping for great things from his Wren FC side.
And although they won three of their following eight matches, six defeats of the bounce has seen the Calne-based side slip to the bottom of the table.
Old Road are the visitors to Beversbrook this Sunday and the form book suggests that they should follow up their 2-1 win from October with another victory.
Relegation-battlers FC North Wiltshire are going to have to pull of one of the results of season if they are going to have any chance of avoiding a second defeat at the hands of leaders Melksham Cosmos.
North Wilts go into the game on the back of a 5-3 win over North Star B but they are unlikely to repeat that success against a side who beat them 3-1 in the reverse fixture and have only lost once in their 14 games to date.
With Sportzcoach Dragonz United in cup action, Christian Malford can claim a share of second spot if they can beat North Star B over at Beversbrook.
Malford, who have lost just once in their last eleven games, will be looking to take all three points in their first encounter of the season with Lee Lovelock’s side.
