THERE may have only been the one fixture in Division Two, but the game between local rivals Trowbridge Town Reserves and Trowbridge Wanderers Reserves was as big as it gets.
With the game scheduled for Woodmarsh it was no surprise that the hosts ground was unplayable, but rather than call the fixture off, the Bees' manager Dave Jenkins secured another pitch at Christie Miller.
His efforts were rewared as Town ground out a 2-1 victory in what were atrocious conditions.
Trowbridge Wanderers went one up on 15 minutes through Steve Jackson, but they fought back and fashioned an equaliser through Brett Partner.
A quick-fire second that came from Dan Barnett put Jenkins side 2-1 ahead and that was how things remained until the final whistle which both teams were glad to hear.
